I took some time off from the Funky Two Kilos podcast, flew to China and experienced some real live heat in Shanghai. But hey, while eating those fine dumplings, Dim Sum and Teppanyaki, I always kept the new podcast episode in mind. As I know that Teppanyaki is Japanese and that summer on the northern hemisphere is almost over, I found it a good time to drop a mix with some tropical heat. Here it is and it's all about polyrhythms, you know those sweet beats that seem to be all over the place, but still work in some mysterious way to make you wanna move.
Availibility of each episode is limited and will be cancelled after two weeks. Feel free to forward and re-post this. For Promotional Use Only.

21 August was mad hectic. We had Outbreak Germany and BOTY Germany at the same day. Here are some impressions - sound is provided by myself, DJ Floskel.

The guys from Hip Hop Stützpunkt Berlin came up with the idea of HipHopping at the Expo in Shanghai 2010. They gave me a buzz and next thing you know, I was trying not to dehydrate as we were facing 40 degrees centigrade almost every day from 1 August to 15 August 2010 in Shanghai, China. 'We' meaning the illustrious bunch of cats who made up the Hip Hop summer special of the German pavillion at the Expo: Bandits, Chee Productions, DJ DSK, DJ Fatkit, DJ Floskel, DJ Hype, Dragon Style Crew, Oralic Sound Machines, Scotty 76, Uprooted Sunshine, Zebster and much more. The task was simple, doing what we do every day anyway: Moving the crowd with beatboxing, writing, djing, bboying and rapping.
Next Podcast EpisodeThe next episode of the Funky Two Kilos podcast will drop late August 2010. Both Downroc and I were blessed with a lot of dope projects so the podcast had to take a back seat. Will change that soon. It's gonna be tropical madness, whatever that means, haha. Enjoy the dope summer!
